About Ann
Photographer Ann Kogen is a native of Evanston, Illinois. Her work is mostly documentary in style and she prefers to work in series. She has a diverse portfolio using various kinds of cameras: a large format Rolleiflex camera, 35mm Nikons, Holga and toy cameras, digital. Her series include street photography taken in the 1980's, black and white portraits, hand colored images of Venice Beach in LA, color processed Postcard collages, Walls, still lives, children, ice cream cone signs, motion and movement, and international images of daily life and people.
Ann Kogen is also a licensed clinical social worker who works in private practice doing therapy with individuals, families and refugees/immigrants.
